A fantastic opportunity has just become available for a Shift Manager to join a worldwide recognised manufacturing company based in Chesterfield.
My client operates UK wide and worldwide and operates across a range of sectors.
The role will incorporate overseeing projects across the production site from the workshop, to overseeing materials and to fully finished components.
The role: (tasks not limited to)
* Direct team leaders to continually achieve and exceed productivity, cost, customer service and quality targets levels across production.
* Ensure resources are effectively used to ensure full capacity to satisfy production plan requirements.
* Maintain accurate production data
* Agree with your team both annual operation and financial budgets
* Look after recruitment for your team
* Motivate, train and develop your team to maintain an effective workforce
* Ensure all operations fully comply with health & safety, quality standards, environmental & company standards.
* Ensure all projects are running to set targets
* Ensure all NPI are to set procedures
* Responsible for BIT and CIP procedures
* Run Improvement projects (BPS, System CIP)
* Any other tasks that may be requested
Requirements:
Experience:
* Relevant professional qualification in Engineering or related discipline (Degree level preferred)
* General Manufacturing background/experience
* Previous experience within a Management position
* Previous Project Management experience
* Experience with Lead Improvement Projects
* Experience with Quality procedures and Continuous Improvement techniques
* Experience with New Product Introduction
Personal skills:
* Excellent interpersonal and management skills
* Good organisational and budgeting skills
* Good attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills
* Good problem solving skills
* Able to be flexible to meet the needs of the company when required
The salary for this position is paying up to GBP35,000 per annum depending on skill set and experience.
