I am currently looking for a Production Planner to join a large automotive tier 1 supplier.

Responsible For: Production plan to be issued to the shop floor daily and the performance and efficiency reported daily. Managing a portfolio of up to 20 suppliers to ensure 100% support of customer requirements and minimal cost to Antolin Redditch. Overall Purpose / Scope of Position: Produce daily the production plan for 13 Injection mould machines and issue to the shop floor within the overall capacity considered. Liaise with the production team daily and maintain 100% availability of moulded parts to 3 customers and our internal assembly lines. Communicate to management team a daily supply status. Scheduling and controlling flow of some bought in materials from the point of order to the point of use within agreed production, transport and inventory targets. Plus any other ad hoc duties required to fulfil the job role

Key Objectives: Ensure 100% of mouldings on all customer parts, including internal assembly lines. Ensure 100% on time delivery of all materials to support your production plan. Maintain and develop vendor call in system Support new project implementation Support engineering changes Develop processes and systems in line with TS16949, ISO14001, QOS and other company targets and initiatives. Provide out of hours support when required. Monitoring and reporting supplier performance measures. Active support of cost reduction activities. Perform with minimal costs of premium freight Support customer requirement Maintain stock accuracy in SAP and W.M.S systems Resolution of supplier delivery discrepancies Introduction of lean principles into the role Run out parts to achieve target of 0 obsolescence

Key Result Areas: 100% availability of mouldings 100% material availability to support production/customer requirements. Maintain inventory levels within agreed company targets. Develop and maintain good relationships with customer base and your supply chain Work closely with the Direct Supply planner Working Conditions / Other features of Job: Hours of work, shift work; travel; working conditions; etc Normal production support hours with a requirement to be flexible and work additional hours as required. A mobile telephone and Laptop will be issued by the company as part of this role. Health, Safety and Environmental Factors: As per Company and legal requirements. Qualifications / Educational requirements: 'A' level preferred, or equivalent level of qualification

Job Skills: Excellent communication skills Good Organisational Skills Good Time Management Computer literacy/accuracy, particularly MS excel.

Experience: Min. 2 years' experience within fast moving materials or purchasing role. SAP MRP experience MS Excel is essential

Personal Competencies: Ability to work under pressure with constant time constraints Flexible to the needs of the business including out of hours work when required
