Our client is Ireland's fastest growing forecourt retailer and have a significant presence in the UK with over 70 service stations and employing over 900 colleagues. In addition, on the International marketplace our client's estate now stretches as far as the USA with a number of service stations in Long Island.
From fuel to food they offer their customers a wide range of good value products and services, through the highest standards of customer service. They grow its business through partnerships with global brands, in particular Burger King, Costa, Subway and Greggs.
They are now looking to appoint a number of Construction Managers (at various levels) to work on various construction and refurbishment projects throughout the UK.
They operate across the UK & Ireland and have completed numerous new build and fit-out projects whilst maintaining and expanding their property portfolio. They take full responsibility for the design, project management and supervision of the space planning, design, on-site construction works, fit-out and relocation.
As one of their Construction Managers, you will report to the Head of Developments Director and be responsible for all day-to-day site matters, liaising with the client and reviewing progress of contracts. Ensuring that each project remains on schedule and within budget, you will have close contact with the design team, Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Managers regarding the packaging and procurement of labour and sub-contractors whilst ensuring all changes, variations and other matters effecting costs are dealt with promptly and effectively in consultation with the Project Surveyor as required.
Attending all project pre-start, contract review and site meetings, you will prepare any necessary reports and minutes including liaison between the client, main contractor and on-site operatives. You will also fully support, facilitate at all levels and comply with the legal Health & Safety requirements and assist in the training and development of site management and site operatives.
The successful candidates will have a proven track record in planning, constructing and managing projects from drawings through to final opening, ideally gained within our industry / retail. They also ask that you are flexible to participate in overnight stays as and when required.
