A family owned company in rural East Lancashire is seeking to appoint a Financial Controller to work closely with the financial director/company secretary who will step down later this year. The company is a specialist in the design of high quality anti vibration products and also produces a range of other precision mouldings and seals. Currently turnover is circa ??4.5m but there are plans to expand considerably over the next few years.Customers include major motor and plant hire equipment manufacturers.
The position is part time (2-3 days a week to suit) and covers, amongst other things, the preparation of monthly accounts, projections etc, and maintaining and developing financial control and MI systems. Also included are the preparation of all statutory reports and on-going liaison with the company???s bankers and external advisors. There is constant close interaction with the other senior business managers.
The successful candidate will ideally have had hands on experience in the manufacturing industry and possess a ???can do??? approach to problem solving. Experience of Sage 50 and Sage Manufacturing would be an advantage, but not critical. They should be a motivated self starter able to work as part of a small, dedicated, management team and willing to move outside their comfort zone as required.
Remuneration offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will reflect current market rates.
