Principal Teachers are now offering a range of First Aid Courses, which will be delivered by an experienced instructor from our Training Academy in Catterick, North Yorkshire. Please see the details below for the Emergency First Aid at Work Course, Paediatric First Aid Course and the First Aid at Work Course.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK LEVEL 2 - GBP60 PER DELEGATE- 1 DAY COURSE

The Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2 Course is designed to provide all learners with the skills and knowledge to administer treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner. A qualification valid for 3 years will be issued to those who satisfy the requirements. A minimum of 6 contact hours will be spent in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities, plus some pre-course activity could be required.
The course covered a range of subjects including: responsibilities and reporting; resuscitation; burns; assessment of the situation; anatomy; choking; dealing with an unresponsive casualty; minor injuries;
epilepsy; basic hygiene in First Aid; bleeding control and shock.

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID AT WORK LEVEL 3- NOW ONLY GBP60 PER DELEGATE (WAS GBP99)- 2 DAY COURSE

This course is ideal for individuals, who are responsible for children and infants, wishing to gain a nationally accredited Level 3 Award. This course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years
Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted. A qualification valid for 3 years will be issued, subject to assessment. A minimum of 12 hours consisting of theoretical and practical work will be spent to cover the 2 course units.
A range of subjects are covered including: responsibilities and reporting; resuscitation; fainting; assessment of the situation; head injuries; choking; dealing with an unresponsive casualty;
diabetes; fractures; infantile convulsions; foreign bodies; meningitis; control of bleeding and shock; anaphylaxis; burns; eye injuries; heat and cold; asthma and sickle cell anaemia.

FIRST AID AT WORK LEVEL 3 - GBP139 PER DELEGATE- 3 DAY COURSE

This comprehensive training course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. Delegates will be continuously assessed and a qualification valid for 3 years will be issued to those who satisfy the course requirements. The course covers a wide range of first aid emergencies, enabling participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. A minimum of 18 contact hours in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities, plus some pre-course activity could be required. The First Aid Level 3 Course includes: Emergency First Aid in the Workplace and Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace and covers a range of subjects including: Legalities, responsibilities and reporting, managing incidents, resuscitation, bandaging, fractures and spinal injuries, choking, head injuries, poisoning , Chest injuries, Sprains and strains, Asthma, Diabetes, Stroke.

***If you are renewing your First Aid Level 3 qualification either before or within 1 month of expiry, you are eligible to refresh your knowledge over a 2 day course rather than completing the full 3 day course again.
