Our client specialises in providing data centre, cloud, connectivity and voice solutions. As a result of their year-on-year growth, they are now looking for a Senior Network Support Engineer to join their team. 

In this fast-paced and exciting role, you’ll have the chance to lead from the front and get stuck in with a wide range of technical challenges. 

As the Senior Network Support Engineer, you’ll lead the network support function ensuring that a world-class support service is delivered to our client’s customers and partners. 

Managing a team of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line Network Support Engineers, you’ll motivate them to effectively handle a range of technical incidents, issues and escalated problems. 

You’ll act as the lead engineer for network support, managing major incidents, configuring and developing network management systems and overseeing the monitoring of customer networks. 

Additionally, your duties will involve: 

- Effectively prioritising tickets 
- Ensuring that tickets aren’t unnecessarily escalated 
- Building knowledge bases 
- Ensuring that customer networks are monitored appropriately 
- Writing incident reports 

Interested? To be considered, you’ll need: 

- Previous team leadership, supervisory or management experience 
- Experience as a network support engineer 
- Previous experience of providing 3rd and/or 4th line support to LAN, WAN and wireless networks 
- A Cisco CCNP or Juniper JNCIS/JNCIP certification or equivalent experience 

Analytical and focused, as the Senior Network Support Engineer, you’ll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Superb time-management, prioritisation and multi-tasking abilities are also key. 

Experience of Cisco ACI and DSL networks, including LNS/BRAS, would be beneficial, as would experience of cloud networks, including VMware, storage and virtualisation.
