A Primary school based in Elland are currently on the look out for an experienced Teacher to join them on a long term basis to cover PPA until September 2017. If you are qualified, experienced and passionate about working in Education, please apply now.

The role is an exciting opportunity, giving you a chance to join a supportive and enthusiastic bunch of teachers who need their classes covering during PPA! You will be expected to cover most of the National Cirriculum and have a strong understanding of different learning styles, along with a vibrant and engaging attitude to children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the teaching and learning of children
• Responsible for class based staff and classroom volunteers
• Maintain and develop the class records including trackers, AFL, general pupils?, medical & other as required
• Professional interest in all aspects of the theory and practice of primary education
• Optional extra curricular club to enhance the children?s experiences and contribute to school ethos
• Opportunity to pursue professional development to enhance personal skills to benefit the children and the school
• Pursue high standards of professionalism in all aspects of the role
• Actively be involved in school life and ethos
• Take an active interest in educational and other developments in school
• Contribute to staff meetings, and other school forums with initiative and professional enthusiasm
• Comply with and actively promote agreed school policies, especially the school?s ethos, aims and values
• Respond to other duties and tasks as reasonably directed by the Headteacher, SLT and the Department

Successful Applicant:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Strong understanding of school operations
• Strong understanding of safe guarding of children
• Experienced in a similar role
• Dedicated to the development of children
• Keen to learn and take on tasks
