Overview
MH Fuel Installations & Maintenance is a small successful business that has been in operation for over 35 years. Based in Buckinghamshire, they are specialists in the petroleum industry working as contractors for Shell Oil, BP Oil UK and other major petroleum companies.
What do they do?
The main core of their business is to install the fuel pipe work system on petrol stations which involves working on construction sites. This includes the installation of tank lid work (steel) and the pipework (plastic) fuel lines. Their installation works handles the supply, fitting and commissioning of pump dispensers and all associated pipework. Our client also deals with servicing and maintenance of pump and fuel equipment maintenance.
What are they looking for?
Successful candidates do not need to have previous experience in the fuel industry but must have a practical mind-set and a career history in a mechanical background is advantageous. You may have previous experience in plumbing, mechanics, or as a gas/service engineer. You may be a multi skilled maintenance engineer who is looking for a career in the petroleum industry.
As well as being from a service/engineer background, the successful candidate will also be a logical thinker, pro-active with good fault finding abilities.

Full UK Petroleum Industry Association (UKPIA) training will be given to the successful candidate.

Job Responsibilities
• Installation of fuel lines which includes the installation of tank lid work (steel) and the pipework (plastic) fuel lines.
• Carry out routine maintenance work to fuel pumps on live petroleum sites to a high standard
• Responsibility of completion of all paperwork (job reports and surveys) when on site and ensuring all paperwork is promptly returned to the office
• Spot and report any potential incidents on site and make safe as required
• Fault finding and coming up with solutions to problems on site
• Working on own initiative to carry out daily workload
Person Requirements
• UK Driving licence is essential
• Previous experience in an engineering or mechanical background - for example, plumbing, mechanics, or as a gas/service engineer
• Grade C or above in GSCE English and Maths
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A good awareness of health & safety
• Strong problem solving skills
• Comfortable working independently
• Confident dealing with customers face to face
