Our client is an innovative, modern arms length housing organisation (ALMO), created in October 2005 employing approximately 540 staff and managing 11,500 properties across the borough of Stockport.  They are recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 ‘Best Places to work in the Public Sector’ employer, have been awarded Investors in People (Gold) status and are also thrilled to have been named UK’s Top Landlord after winning the 24Housing magazine vote.

Visiting customers in their own homes, their Energy Solutions Advisors provide a range of energy related advice and guidance as well as checking eligibility for any energy finance related support.

Despite having a heavy customer focus, there are technical aspects of the role where you will be expected to deal with daily enquiries relating to heat meters from the company’s district heating portfolio and liaise with the in-house repair service for any necessary related repairs.

You will also be responsible for the surveying, calculation and issuing of domestic and non-domestic EPC’s as well as Display Energy Certificates for commercial businesses.

With a good standard of English and Maths, you should be competent in the use of a range of Microsoft programmes and able to design and deliver presentations to groups.  A fuel poverty qualification (or equivalent, such as City & Guilds Energy Awareness) would be beneficial but a willingness to work towards this would be accepted in its place should you not already hold one.  They would, however, expect candidates to have a good level of knowledge relating to fuel poverty and an awareness of energy efficiency technology.

An understanding of the Feed-in Tariff claims process is required and you will ideally also have experience of analysing energy bills and dealing with energy suppliers for general enquiries.

Closing date: Sunday 12th March 2017

Interview date: Monday 27th March 2017
