Castlefield have an excellent opportunity for a for a technically minded IT Manager with great computing skills and a broad knowledge of relevant software to join our growing team in Piccadilly, Manchester (M1)

Job Title: IT Manager – Corporate Support 

Location: Manchester (M1)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (08:45 - 17:00)

As our IT Manager, you will provide end users with technical, operational and training support for all computer related equipment, peripherals, accessories and components.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Management and administration of Windows servers, active directory, SQL and terminal services as well as managing email continuity, permissions, archiving and security systems

- Installation, configuration and deployment of computer system hardware and software as well as maintenance and troubleshooting of end user hardware and peripheral devices.

- Ensure that the appropriate patches, hot fixes, and service packs are installed on company-owned or licensed software in a timely manner

- Assist in scheduling maintenance and assist in performing network improvements, upgrades and repairs

- Check system backups and escalate any problems identified

- Implement asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment

- Assist with the Identification and resolution of potential security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion

- Perform all information systems operations activities, including checking error logs, verifying integrity of systems, performing disaster recovery drills and maintaining operations logs

To be a success in this IT Manager role you will need:

- An IT related degree (at least 2:1) or relevant experience

- Knowledge of Windows servers, Office 365, Microsoft Sharepoint, Skype, SQL, Mimecast, Terminal Services, Active Directory, Cloud Services and Umbraco or other web development.

- Interest in CSR

- An engaging and 'can do' attitude and excellent attention to detail.

- Willingness to learn on the job and take ownership

- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Exceptional communication skills

- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
