Strategic Property Officer
Salary range: Grade I - GBP36,937 - GBP40,619 plus benefits
Based at Spalding with some travel across the district
Are you experienced in delivering a wide variety of strategic property projects? Are you commercially minded with extensive experience working in the property sector?
South Holland District Council is looking for a Strategic Property Officer to deliver and provide advice on the Council's strategic objectives for Asset Management.
The key focus of the role is to provide strategic property management for South Holland District Council including the development and implementation of strategies and projects that support delivery of the Council's priorities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated asset management strategy. You will also undertake contract and partnership management in property related activities.
Reporting to the Executive Director Commercialisation, you will liaise with the Executive Management Team, the public, tenants and agents, suppliers and contractors, all council departments, councillors and other authorities. An effective negotiator with developed communication skills you will have the ability to work with people at all levels within the organisation. You will possess the ability to work on your own initiative, solve problems and make effective decisions. Experienced in writing reports and delivering presentations, you will be able to work to tight deadlines.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent or hold a relevant professional qualification. Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or a similar professional body and Local Authority or public sector experience may be preferable.
