We are managing demand for Adult Care Services at a time of unprecedented financial pressures, demographic change and significant new legislation. We require dynamic, skilled and highly motivated Occupational Therapists (HCPC registered) to work in the Adult Access Service.

The Adult Access Service is at the forefront of Adult Social Care & Health. Our functions have grown significantly since our inception in 2011 and we now deliver services across the County and encompass the Adult Access Team, the Benefits Team, the Blue Badge Independent Mobility Assessors, the Carers Team, the Intake Team (OT) and the MASH Adults Team.

Due to promotion and retirement we are looking for enthusiastic OTs to join our service in the future development of the triage of OT referrals by supporting customer enquiries, signposting, providing advice and information, telephone assessments, clinics and scheduling. Our OTs support in the processing of Blue Badge applications and complete Independent Mobility Assessments in various countywide locations. Effective communication including good record keeping, organisational and IT skills are essential. You must also be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team to meet deadlines whilst working under pressure. You will need to have a knowledge of community care services and relevant legislation with an awareness of and a commitment to Equality, Diversity, Health and Safety policy/procedures.

If you are interested in looking to expand your OT skills and further professional development, receive regular supervision and support with training please apply.

Closing date: 28 February 2017

Disabled applicants who meet the essential shortlisting requirements will be guaranteed an interview.  A job share scheme is available for all full time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
