HR/Recruitment Advisor
Due to steady growth, HUXT Ltd, are looking for a driven, experienced Recruiter to resource and manage talent for future contracts in the fit-out and construction sector. Based from our Head Office in Hull, you will be responsible for initiating regional and national recruitment drives as per the needs of the business.
Main Purpose:
To manage recruitment in-house; the right candidate will work autonomously, being proactive and inventive when it comes to recruiting new talent for all areas of the business, including the back-office function, on-site construction, joinery manufacture and steel fabrication. Ideally, you will be experienced in in-house recruitment and building relationships with key organisations to deliver a long-term and effective recruitment cycle.
Main Duties:
- Manage the recruitment process, focussing particularly on construction trades, developing your own initiatives for resourcing quality candidates
- Advertising, interviewing and dealing with all administration for recruitment
- Build and manage relationships with recruitment agencies, keeping up-to-date with current trends relevant to the sector
- Build and maintain a database of nationwide contacts
- Assist the Office Manager to build relationships with local colleges and other sources of labour, appointing apprentices and attending events relevant to the sector
- Ensure new employees and self-employed labour complete all relevant paperwork prior to starting on site, follow-up on references and log appropriately
- Induct new starters to HUXT, familiarising them with Company rules and policies
- Work closely with HUXT site managers to monitor performance of site staff, particularly with regards agency staff, logging issues and reporting these to HUXT management
- Work with the Office Manager to Introduce rewards and incentives for new and existing staff
Essential Requirements:
- Good knowledge / experience of Microsoft Office suite, inc Excel, Word, Outlook etc
- GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)
- Experience of in-house recruitment
- Knowledge of and experience working in the construction sector
- Proactive, driven and resourceful
- Excellent problem solving skills with a can-do attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Approachable with the confidence to engage with a variety of key people
- Excellent organisational skills
- Willing to travel and work away when required
Package:
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum plus OTE
Other benefits: 20 days' holiday, pension, annual bonus
Location: Hull, may include occasional travel to other locations nationwide
