Our Client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Electronic Design Engineer to act as Technical Lead on Hardware projects designing and developing new products for internal and customer requirements, support the Sales team on technical bids and to generate product ideas.

Key Responsibilities:

- Act as a technical lead on hardware projects developing new products for internal and customer requirements.
- Work with the project manager to define the detail tasks and activities to deliver the project to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Design systems and test specifications to meet requirements.
- Complete the testing and validation of systems against the objectives to validate designs.
- Co-ordinate the release of products to the production team and support the integration into the product lifecycle. This will include all documentation required for a production build (Drawings, BOMs, schematics, artwork, change notes, release notes, build procedures etc.)
- Support the production team when technical issues and repairs arise.
- Support new sales opportunities when analysing requirements, producing a technical proposal and costing
- Work with all aspects of the business to identify ways of continuous improvement.
- Adhere to company procedures and support the maintenance and introduction of new and improved working practices.
- Establish a good and approved supply chain for outsourced system components.

- Producing low level test specifications and procedures for component testing

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience in the following areas:

- PCB Design and Analogue Electronics experience is essential
- Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Previous experience and understanding of Embedded Systems (C, VHDL)
- Experience of Software Design and Development would be extremely beneficial
- Knowledge of Altium Software and SolidWorks would be beneficial
