My client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of building products in the North of England. My client has seen remarkable growth and as a result, has an exciting opportunity for an Area Sales Manager to join their successful team to cover their Middlesbrough / Hartlepool region.

Main Responsibilities

- The main focus of the role is to develop the company business through contractors (main and sub) and regional developers, and to contribute to shaping and delivering integrated solutions to maximise long-term growth opportunities.
- You will be expected to identify and win new business across the above sectors and primarily maintain a vibrant pipeline of forward business.
- Your target for this role will be staggered based on growth and you will receive excellent support from the business in terms of qualified leads and marketing support.
- You will be required to visit clients to discuss specification orders etc. in the local area, liaising with the National Sales Manager.

The Requirements:

- You should have experience and knowledge within Construction products (timber, brick, heating/plumbing, roofing, insulation etc), and more importantly, experience of contractors and developers in the region.
- A technical competency ability into a sales environment is essential, a bespoke engineered solution which ensures results via specification.
- An excellent relationship builder.
- Based on patch around Hartlepool / Middlesbrough
- You should be a proficient presenter using PowerPoint and be comfortable and competent negotiating at board level.
- Have sound analytical capabilities combined with acute attention to detail and planning.
- Be able to develop and build on an existing client base / portfolio - there will be a varied split towards a managing existing accounts and business development.
- An aspiring, target driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic "do it now" attitude towards your work is essential.
- Display management competencies, but no management experience is necessary.
