Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer required to join a leading manufacturer of power transmission and mechanical engineering products. My client is looking for a qualified mechanical engineer (Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree) with experience in external sales and winning new business.
Candidates with a similar product / industry sales background without a technical qualification will be considered.
The Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer will be required to maintain and develop relationships with distributors, OEM's and end users and will covering the either the South of the UK or can be split East / West.
This role would suit an ambitious & driven Sales Engineer / Area Sales Manager looking to progress their career to the next stage with a leading manufacturer.

Role
Maintain and develop relationships with distributors, OEM's and end users
New business development - Identify and approach new potential customers
Covering the South of the UK (There may be a possibility to spilt East / West)
Provide product training and sales support to distributors and end users
Generate new sales and liaise with various engineering departments to provide competitive quotations
Working for a leading manufacturer, selling power transmission and MRO products, bearings, belts, chains and associated mechanical components
Requirements
Ideally possess a mechanical engineering qualification or similar - Aerospace engineering, manufacturing engineering, automotive engineering, etc. (Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree)
External sales experience winning new business - Experience as a Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager, Business Development Manager or similar
Experience selling power transmission & MRO products, bearings, mechanical components or similar
Experience selling to OEMs, end users and distributors
Proven, relevant technical sales experience minus a technical qualification will be considered
Based in Southern UK - Location flexible
