Chubb is now seeking to recruit a Systems Service Manager to join our Edinburgh operation and oversee a team of field based Fire Systems (Detection & Alarm) Service Engineers.

You will be a motivating people manager with highly effective organisational abilities, a good level of IT literacy, ideally you will have experience of managing service teams and be technically competent in Fire Systems with appropriate qualifications/experience of the relevant standard; however we will consider Fire Alarm engineers who are looking to take a step up or Engineering Service Managers from other disciplines who are looking to move in to Detection and Alarm.

The purpose of this role is to ensure all local Business customers are serviced on time to the highest standards. By managing and maintaining a team of professional Service Engineers you will aid Chubb in building long term relationships with the key customer decision makers, resolving all service related issues promptly and ensure delivery of the highest standards of service to the customer.

The role holder will also be responsible for conducting initial training for newly hired employees and providing ongoing coaching and training to motivate and retain field service force, occasionally accompanying Service Engineers in the field to improve their sales and service performance and ensuring support is available to Fire System Service Engineers for small works quotes.

The role holder will provide technical support and guidance on adherence to British Standards to Engineers, as well as being responsible for distributing service allocations, recommending on-going service resource requirements, ensuring that sales and service revenue, profit and customer loyalty targets are reached or exceeded, monitoring dashboard metrics on weekly basis and driving Service Engineer performance excellence, monitoring materials and stock, conducting service quality audits and tracking Engineer sales leads.
