Contracts Manager - Refurb & Fit Out
Area of expertise: Dry Lining, External Facades, Steel Framing & Suspended Ceilings
Duties
- Carrying out site surveys and working with the estimator to prepare the tender.
- Liaising with sub-contractors and recruitment agencies to secure labour and to negotiate competitive rates.
- Liaising with purchasing department with regard to procurement of materials.
- Attending post tender/pre-contract meetings with the client.
- Managing the contract from start to finish, ensuring that productivity targets are met whilst maintaining quality and health and safety standards.
- Managing project costs within budget to deliver targeted margin.
- Managing site-based operatives.
- Responding to problems on site quickly and efficiently and actively seeking solutions.
- Checking and collating time sheets.
- Keeping accurate records and maintaining an awareness of KPIs.
- Developing effective, ongoing relationships with site managers and clients.
Skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Excel for calculation of quantities and stock control.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate stock control and record keeping.
- Previous practical experience of installation of the measures listed.
- Experience of site management.
- Good understanding of health and safety and quality requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Good organisational skills.
Requirements:
- Full, clean driving licence.
- CSCS card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
