Domestic Assistant
LOCATION: Ampthill Bedfordshire
JOB TITLE: Cleaner/Domestic Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP Excellent rates of pay! (Hourly rate to raise, Pay award pending)
WORKING HOURS: 20 hours a week, 10am to 2pm
(Flexibility to work 1 weekend in 4 on rota)
THE COMPANY: My client, the largest Disability charity in the UK, is currently looking to recruit Support Care workers to join their dedicated team of care professionals, at their residential home facility in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. THE ROLE: Cleaner/Domestic Assistant -Ampthill, Bedfordshire

Yes - then we may have the perfect job for you. We provide support to disabled adults in a residential service. As Domestic assistant/ Cleaner you will be working as part of a team ensuring that the service is cleaned to a high standard
You don't need experience to join our team: all you need is a positive and helpful personality with a common sense approach. We will provide you with training and support including paid induction training.
You will have the ability to work on your own and as part of a team, also be able to work rota hours and be willing to undertake required training. You will work flexibly and creatively with the people who use our services and staff. Free parking provided
Key Responsibilities to include: - Cleaner/Domestic Assistant -Ampthill, Bedfordshire
To undertake the general cleaning of all allocated areas of the service, removing waste appropriately and replenishing supplies where necessary.
To report any problems encountered to the line manager.

- Experience of cleaning in a commercial environment/ or laundry environment would be desirable, but not essential
- Good basic literacy and numeracy
- To be willing to undertake required training (including updates), sometimes off site and outside normal working hours.
- Experience of working with disabled people is desirable
- An engaging manner with ability to build rapport with people.
- Passion, enthusiasm and a real commitment to make a difference to people lives
- A reliable approach to work
- Car and own vehicle desirable but not essential
