Working as the Finance Control Analyst / Financial Accountant / Internal Audit & Accounts Senior you will report directly to the Director of Internal Controls and Technical Accounting and indirectly to the Business Unit Finance Director.

As the Finance Control Analyst / Financial Accountant / Internal Audit & Accounts Senior you will collaborate closely with the business unit to understand, document, and support internal controls over financial reporting, while also using knowledge of the business to identify and coordinate implementation of opportunities for process improvements.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Finance Control Analyst / Financial Accountant / Internal Audit & Accounts Senior:

• Develop a thorough understanding of business processes in scope for SOX compliance and support the documentation of the process, risks and control

• Identify risks associated with business objectives and evaluate the controls in place to mitigate those risks in order to improve the effectiveness of risk management, the control environment, and governance process

• Provide consultative support to the Group with regard to the adequate design and execution of control processes

• Provide value-added advice and support to the business unit on the creation or modification of policies, procedures, processes, products or services to ensure an appropriate level of internal control and compliance is maintained

• Ensure consistency of controls assessment and monitoring approaches across processes

• Coordinate and monitor remediation projects for significant deficiencies and material weaknesses identified for the business unit as reported by internal audit and the external auditor

• Perform consulting services for management through participation in projects as requested by the business unit

• Actively assist in the evaluation of new Accounting Standards and determine the impact on the business unit and financial reporting functions

• Perform other related duties and ad hoc projects as required or requested by the business unit or direct manager

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Education equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating a working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, COSO, and/or COBIT

• Internal or external audit experience

• ACCA, CIMA, CPA or CIA qualifications (or equivalent) strongly preferred

• Ability to work independently and remote from direct manager

• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Experience in US GAAP and Tax market would be desirable
