Enthusiastic, excited, keen to deliver and driving for success? We hope thats you! We are looking for a Newly Qualified Teacher, keen to make a lasting first impression and enhance their career by successfully completeing a long term time post in a brilliant Primary School in Leeds.
The Key Responsibilities for the role are:
- Establish a purposeful learning environment where pupils feel secure and confident; where diversity is valued; where there are opportunities to maximise teaching and learning
- Teach clearly structured lessons which interest and motivate children
- Take pupils' learning abilities in to account, learning objectives clearly shared with pupils, ensuring interactive work strategies are used.
- Ensure active and independent learning is promoted that enables pupils to think for themselves and plan and manage their own learning.
- To establish a clear framework for classroom discipline and strategies for recognising, encouraging and rewarding good behaviour, promoting self-management and independence and to safeguard health and safety
- To set challenging learning and teaching objectives for whole class, groups or individuals, relevant to and based on knowledge of learners
- Mark and assess pupils' work, using a range of monitoring and assessment strategies, evaluating pupil progress toward the planned learning objectives
- Use this information to inform future planning and teaching
- To give immediate, constructive feedback which supports pupil learning, to enable pupil reflection and self evaluation leading to improved learning
- Maintain an attractive, stimulating and well-organised classroom
- Build and maintain good working relationships with parents or carers
- To provide oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to the development and learning of individual pupils or groups of pupils as required
- Reflect and evaluate on own teaching and modify or amend as appropriate
- Keep up-to-date with current educational thinking by attending relevant in-service training
- To take part in regular performance management
- To take part fully in the corporate life of the school
To be successful for this posiiton, you need to bring the following skills and attributes:
- Newly Qualified Teacher
- Strong knowledge of safe guarding of children
- Experience teaching within a primary school, either on placement through education or through direct employment
- Looking to further your career through training and both supported and self development
