My client a leading player in the Water Industry have an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join their team based out of their offices in Dalgety Bay, Fife.
General Outline of Job:
*The Project Planner will be required to assist the Senior Planner with planning large M & E jobs in conjunction with the operations, commercial and design teams whilst reporting into the senior management of the Company. The Planner will:
*Develop logic-driven, cost-loaded programmes for Tender Projects against tight delivery deadlines
*Create detailed Construction programmes for Awarded projects
*Incorporate contractor and subcontractor programmes into these Construction Programmes
*Monitor, update and report on status of programmes for Awarded projects
*Assist in keeping Projects on track by identifying critical activities & evaluating remedial actions
*Provide multi-project programmes to identify resource constraints
*Liaise with Directors, Project Managers and Engineers in connection with all of the above
*Liaise with the Clients' Project Managers and Planners in connection with all of the above
*Provide help, support & expertise to others (Directors, Project Managers & Engineers) in producing their own programmes
Key responsibilities, duties and tasks:
*Create Tender programmes
*Create Construction programmes
*Monitor and update these programmes and report progress
*Keep the Project on track
*Collaborate with the Clients, Project Managers and Engineers
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
*Degree or similar technical qualification (e.g. HNC) in Science-/Technical-based subject, preferably in engineering
*Proficient in Programming software packages - Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
*Excellent IT Skills (MS Office - Outlook, Word and Excel in particular).
*Previous experience in same/similar role
*Experience in engineering, manufacturing or construction industry desirable
*Experience in preparing and coordinating detailed programmes encompassing design, construction, installation and commissioning
