New opportunity not to be missed! Our client, a leading tyre wholesaler is looking for a HR Manager – Group to join the team based in Burton upon Trent. The successful candidate will join them on a full time permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of between £35,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience.

Part of a large multi national group, they are one of the leading tyre wholesale distributors and commercial fleet service businesses in the UK. With an outstanding track record stretching back 45 years.

The HR Manager – Group will be responsible for running and developing the business’s HR Division in the UK and Ireland.

Key responsibilities of the HR Manager – Group include

- Act as the face of HR for the company

- Responsible for senior level decision making and both day to day management and strategic direction of the organisation

- Ensure all manager’s carry out staff receive appraisals in accordance with company policy and monitor probationary periods

- Co-ordinate recruitment throughout the company through management of a recruitment team/HR team. Build relationships with recruiters, set up interviews where necessary. Interview senior hires when necessary

- Review all staff salaries and make recommendations for pay rises in consultation with department heads. Implement any increases and promotions

Skills, knowledge and experience required by the HR Manager – Group

- Previous experience of managing a Human Resources team

- The ability to inspire confidence of the board of Directors and other senior managers through timely delivery of information and plans

- Strong working knowledge of employment law issues and the ability to apply these to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common sense approach

- Level 7 CIPD qualified

- Demonstrates passion - approaches all tasks in an enthusiastic way. Committed to upholding professional standards

- Takes responsibility for own actions and visibly supports the senior leadership team and their agenda

- Self-motivated and self-aware - recognises own strengths and weaknesses and is committed to personal development

- Takes a broad interest in the success and development of the company and the human resource function as a whole
