We currently have a number of exciting opportunities to work as a Customer Service/Claims Consultant in our ever growing Customer Service environment.

Here, within our Health Claims department, every one of our people is a great talker, listener, fact finder and decision maker. Our professionals help our customers through a difficult period and help support them through an insurance claim with the maximum efficiency and minimum fuss, in an attractive environment.

We are continually looking at ways of enhancing the service we provide as we know that making a claim can be a stressful time. Here in Sheffield we have a dedicated team of experienced Claims Consultants so our customers will benefit from a seamless and efficient service for the duration of their claim.

You'll talk and listen calmly to our customers, knowing just the right questions to ask to obtain relevant information to assist you in processing their claim. You'll relish getting to the bottom of things, taking full ownership in order to resolve a situation fully for a customer. Only through meticulously checking facts and asking questions will you be able to weigh up information and make accurate decisions about the claim. Typically you can be dealing with around 25 calls per day.

With your strong work ethic and even stronger customer focus, you'll be able to put yourself in our customer's shoes ultimately minimising the impact of the claim to them. You'll maintain and develop a high level of technical awareness and treat customers in accordance with Aviva brand behaviours, doing everything you can to get them the solution they need.

Full training with be provided and we will support you on your journey to learn about our customers and the Health Claims business. You will be given every opportunity to improve the way we work and deliver our purpose of freeing people from the fear of uncertainty.

Starting Salary: GBP15,500 per annum

Earning Potential: Typically, our Claims Consultants will progress to GBP17,500pa within 9 months of initial induction training. Your development will continue in the role over time. On average we see people reach an advanced level after 18 months, where salary would rise again to GBP19,250. You can then continue to excel in the role and become one of our experts in department earning GBP21,525. Beyond this, there are numerous opportunities within our business for people with the right skills, behaviours and attitude to be able to continue progression of their career aspirations.

Our offices are based on Pear Street, off Ecclesall Road near to Sheffield City Centre and are well served by public transport.

Opening Hours are Monday - Friday 8am-8pm and Saturdays 8am-1pm and you must be flexible to work shift patterns across this period. Full time positions are 35 hours p/w. We can also consider part-time positions providing you can complete an initial 10-12 week training period on full-time hours.

Typically, you can expect a week of late shifts once every 7 weeks and a Saturday once every 6 weeks and this is continuously reviewed.
