What's the opportunity?
To join a leading multi-national defence company in the role of Configuration Manager.
What will you be doing?
* Prepare, review publish and maintain project Configuration Management Plan and Sub Contractor Configuration Management Requirements Plans;
* Co-ordination, support and influence major change Management committee meetings eg: Configuration Management Committee, Local Technical Committee, Configuration Control Board, preparation of the relevant supporting documentation, including liaison with customer representatives, the meeting chairman and design and manufacturing representatives;
* Manage the design definition of projects or major parts of a project using both manual and automated Configuration Management systems;
* Create and control configuration status accounting data to meet contractual and company requirements;
* Control changes;
* Undertake configuration audits;
* Management of associated budgets;
* Participate in functional process reviews as required

Who and what we are looking for from you?
* Ideally educated to HNC level or above in a technical discipline or a minimum of 5 years in a Configuration Management role
* Be able to demonstrate a knowledge of CM principles, processes and standards, both nationally and internationally
* Be able to demonstrate team management experience
* Be comfortable dealing with people at all levels within the company
* To demonstrate a level of initiative a high concern for order and quality and an eye for detail
* High Communication Skills - Verbal, Written, Electronic, across all levels.
