This post represents an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join a team of staff in Keele University's IT Services department within the Finance & IT Directorate. IT Services is responsible for providing infrastructure and IT support to many of the University's schools and departments.

We are looking for an experienced IT Technician to work within an existing team providing hardware and software support for end-user computers and devices. Main duties will include installing and supporting computer hardware and software, providing remote support using appropriate technologies, troubleshooting hardware and software issues and applying solutions. In addition you will write and maintain documentation to agreed standards and work alongside colleagues from other IT teams on larger projects. 

You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 4 in an IT related subject or equivalent qualification/experience. You will also have substantial experience of supporting Microsoft, Apple and other devices and related software and operating systems in a similar environment. You will have experience of using endpoint management systems, and supporting devices in a Windows Domain environment.  You will be able to work effectively within a team as well as independently, and be customer focussed with excellent problem solving, organisational and communication skills. 

Please note this appointment is subject to medical clearance and on-going medical surveillance by the University Occupational Health provider.
