Role

- Associate Director, of Marketing and Client Relations in the UK team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and prospecting new clients in order to expand the Institutional Business in the UK and Ireland, as well as supporting existing client relationships

Responsibilities

- Develop client relationship management in the UK institutional segment across, but not limited to, Insurers, Retirement groups and Foundations. This involves research, prospecting, client follow-up and servicing
- Create and execute a strategic business development plan focused on the institutional segment.
- Implement the strategic positioning of the firm as well as manage the existing relationships.
- Deliver against activity targets for meetings and interaction with clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong personal relationships with the senior management of key institutional clients.
- Effectively communicate the firm's product offerings and investment philosophy, processes and resources and strategically position the firm against industry competitors.
- Engage in marketing and sales activities with prospects and clients in order to promote the firm's investment services and products, respectively.
- Liaise with consultants in the local market to promote awareness of the firm and its products.
- Work closely with the broader teams and investment professionals within the firm to thoughtfully leverage their relationships, time and expertise in communicating with existing and potential clients.
- Coordinate marketing and communication strategies and keep them aligned with the firm's global initiatives.
- Work closely with others on firm branding, positioning and marketing communications. Ongoing refinement of marketing materials, client communication and prospect inquiries.
- Ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements and standards are met for the Institutional market and contribute to best practices accordingly.
- Ensure that the Company corporate values and best practices are applied at an internal and external level

Personal Requirements

- A proven track record of professional experience, ideally with the bulk spent in an Institutional sales function or a highly relevant role.
- Demonstrated and progressive experience within asset management.
- A strong understanding of the competitive landscape and deep market knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of the UK Institutional market, and more specifically insurance companies and/or retirement groups.
- An excellent knowledge of the asset management industry along with its regulatory and compliance aspects.
- The ability to understand client needs and constraints to assess and position products accordingly
- Positive team player, able to integrate and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment and as part of a global team
- Maintain an up to date knowledge of company Strategies
- A strong understanding of competitive landscape and Market Knowledge in relation to company activities and FCA "CPD" requirements
- Proactive Sales approach, leverage on firm's infrastructure
- Self motivated with a strong work ethic
- Working with other departments at all times in order to help continue the successful growth of the business
- Coordinate marketing and communication strategies and keep them aligned with the firm global marketing and communication strategies
