As Supply Chain Controller you will be responsible for the timely co-ordination and supply of products and services to support our business, in addition to decreasing costs, where appropriate. Liaising with key suppliers to expedite treatments based on production and sales requirements, you will also help with the preparation of estimates in conjunction with our Engineering team. Placing sub-contract purchase orders on a daily basis will be a key element of the Supply Chain Controller role in addition to:
• purchase order administration;
• supply chain development in conjunction with other internal departments; and
• attending frequent production and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) meetings.
With a good general education, a procurement / supply chain qualification and, ideally, membership of the CIPS, you have a proven track record within a fast-moving manufacturing supply chain, where you have liaised with suppliers around cost, quality and delivery. Thoroughly familiar with MRP / ERP from an ordering perspective and with sound mathematical acumen, you are strong on the co-ordination of supplier delivery plans and requirements. You are also a robust negotiator and articulate communicator, who can also ideally offer:
• aerospace procurement / buying experience;
• experience of continuous improvement and cultural change; and
• the ability to interpret technical drawings / requirements.
