A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a resilient and self-motivated Regional Engineering Manager to deliver optimal long-term availability of our ERF plants, to preserve the value of the assets and to meet set health and safety, environmental and financial targets.

What will I be responsible for?​

The Regional Engineering Manager will be primarily focussed on the provision of support and guidance of the site Engineering and Maintenance Managers across the ERF sites to ensure a sustained level of high engineering standards and best practice maintenance procedures. You will also be responsible for:
  • Acting as a first point of contact for site Engineering & Maintenance managers.
  • Deputising in the absence of the National Engineering Manager.
  • Provide site management support in the absence of the Engineering & Maintenance managers.
  • Undertaking routine site visits to;
  • Attend engineering management meetings.
  • Participate in engineering team feedback sessions.
  • Conduct site audits of engineering standards and maintenance practices.
  • Assist with engineering budget scrutiny & reporting.
  • Providing Outage planning and management support to the site to include; Outage QA support, Outage financial planning, Outage reporting/Lessons Learnt
  • Providing support and guidance to the site Engineering & Maintenance managers in the event of breakdown to co-ordinate contractor support and advise on repair solutions.
  • Participate in continual personal development within the organisation to achieve improved performance, promote flexible team working by creating an environment and the resources which will enable the team to identify issues and create innovative solutions to problems and opportunities.
  • Review and authorise purchase orders requests for the site engineering budget.
  • Present written and verbal reports on engineering aspects of the site and complete weekly dashboard report to highlight engineering manpower, equipment, maintenance performance and sustainability issues.
Who are we looking for? ​
  • Extensive knowledge of maintenance and engineering management within the process or power plants industry.
  • Good knowledge of Pressure parts legislation including inspection and repair methods.
  • Experience of health, safety and environment legislation relevant to process or power industry.
  • Experience outage management to successfully deliver work packages to deadlines.
  • Experience managing teams and contractors to deliver agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s.)
  • Possess appropriate Engineering qualifications with a minimum of HNC (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of IOSH (or equivalent) safety qualification.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
Due to the nature of the position this role requires a flexible approach to working hours in order to ensure vital work is completed. A full driving license is essential to this role.
