Position Description

We are a European leader in military satellite communications ground segment and serve civilian space agencies, such as the European Space Agency (ESA), as well as space and ground segment systems companies. Notably, CGI is the largest independent supplier of security systems for Europe's Galileo satellite navigation programme.
CGI has immediate opportunities for graduates with some commercial experience of software development to add to our growing team of developers, system designers and engineers working on a wide variety of Space projects in Leatherhead . Your future duties and responsibilities
You will have a keen interest in applying information technology to solve our clients' requirements. You will have demonstrated your strong technical skills through developing quality software as a team member in formal project work.

Experience & Qualifications

A strong honours degree in a technical subject or equivalent - Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths (STEM).

Software development experience, preferably in one or more of the following areas:

* Scientific computing (e.g. industrialisation of algorithms, mathematical modelling);

* Security-related or cryptographic software;

* Embedded software and/or embedded systems;

* Real-time and/or near real-time applications;

* High-assurance and/or safety-related applications.
Experience of one or more of:

* Java

* C++

* C#

* VB

* Python

* HTML/JavaScript

* Linux/Unix, particularly shell scripting

* PL/SQL
Desirable Requirements:

Experience of the following:

* Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies;

* Testing;
