Senior Support Worker - Charity

Our client is looking for a senior support worker to work at their service in Coulby Newham. This service provides 24-hour care and support to eight adults with learning and physical disabilities.

37.5 Hours per week
Salary: £8.72 per hour

Our client is a registered charity operating across England and Wales. They ensure that the people who use their services are involved in and influence what they do and how they do it.

The role of the senior support worker is to provide opportunities for people who use the service to maintain and develop their skills in order to maximise their independent abilities. This will include supporting people using the service with preparing meals, shopping, paying bills, bathing and personal care, medication administration and outings within the community.

You will also assist the Service Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the service and the effective management of staff.  Be flexible and willing under take on call duty. Be able to manage the home in the manager’s absence.

Essential criteria:

• A person centred approach and an understanding of the needs of vulnerable people
• Some experience of working in a caring environment with vulnerable people
• NVQ Level 3 in care
• Valid driving Licence and willing to drive
