We have an interesting and unique opportunity for an Italian Speaker to join an excellent team supporting adults with autism in Somerset.
About The Role:
You will be supporting people in a residential setting comprised of two independent flats and a five bedroomed home. You will mainly be supporting a gentleman who has autism and is non-verbal, whose first language is Italian. You will play a vital part in helping with communication and enabling him to make choices and decisions, and to live as independently as possible.
You will also support the other residents in the home, enabling and empowering individuals to gain confidence, skills and independence, and to take full advantage of the workshops, learning and leisure facilities available to them.
You will be based in a beautiful countryside location, working for a fantastic organisation that not only provides a huge range of top quality services for the people they support, but also supports their staff to grow and develop along the way.
You will receive excellent training and support to help you excel and progress, and will enjoy being part of a knowledgeable and dedicated team.
Salary And Benefits:
Salary is ??15,000 - ??15,800, plus excellent benefits including generous annual leave, company sick pay, cycle to work schemes, employee assistance programme and more!
About You:
To apply for this role you will ideally have previous experience working with people with learning disabilities or autism, or have strong crossover experience elsewhere in the care sector. You should have at least a basic level of Italian, although fluent/native speakers would be a huge advantage.
A full UK driving licence is preferred, but not essential.
