Centre 404 is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.

We are looking for a waking night worker to support adults with a learning disability living in supported accommodation. The role will include working with service users with a diverse range of physical and support needs. All support will be based on core principles of enabling service users to be valued as individuals and to do things as much as possible for themselves, maximising their independence and control over their lives. Some of the tasks the role entails are: provide support to service users overnight ensuring their safety, health and wellbeing; assist with personal care; health and safety checks; essential cleaning tasks and leading on dealing with emergencies.

We are looking for people with a positive, can-do attitude. Experience of autism and positive behaviour support would be a strong advantage. Good communication and team spirit are required, as well as friendly and enthusiastic attitude, a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and the ability to work positively as part of a team.

Waking night workers will need to be available to attend training days, induction and meetings during the day, and work occasional day shifts, particularly during the first month of the induction period.

Centre 404 is committed to staff development and supervision and we will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support to learn everything needed to be a great support worker.

Centre 404 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk and we are looking to recruit people who share these values. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check, proof of eligibility to work in the UK and two satisfactory references.
