Due to continuing business success and growth we now have a fantastic opportunity available for a Logistics Unit Manager to join our team in Iver South. Working 37.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday.

What will I be responsible for?

As a Logistics Unit Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and controlling of fleet operations ensuring the co-ordination of all required activities to maximise efficiencies.

Your key responsibilities will also include: 
  • Allocate and control vehicles efficiently to meet the operational requirements
  • Ensure, through constant review, a cost effective, quality service is carried out
  • Maintain the fleet to Company and Legislative standards ensuring high standards of housekeeping.
  • Maximise, together with Logistics Co-ordinators, the efficiency of the fleet’s operation
  • Manage and develop all employees
  • Maintain all fleet and tachograph records, reports and check sheets in a complete and recoverable manner to ensure BMS and legislative compliance at all times.
  • Ensure sufficient labour and resources are available to complete the workload
The ideal Logistics Unit Manager: 
  • An understanding of fleet operating systems
  • Full knowledge of Road Transport and Environmental legislation
  • Ability to route vehicles effectively taking into account profit and productivity
  • Previous experience of customer experience management and strategy
  • Previous experience controlling fleet activities.
  • Hold a full CPC in road transport
In return for your hard work as a Logistics Unit Manager, you can expect to receive a salary of £42,000- £50,000 per annum plus a range of benefits.
