Our client is a group of companies and is well established within the construction and environmental sectors and operates through five main divisions. Their activities span construction, land reclamation, public realm and environmental works, developments, and plant hire and service.
They now have an opportunity available for a Site Manager to join them in their General Contracting division. The location of the projects would be South Manchester, Salford and Rochdale.
Within this role, you will assist the Contracts Manager with pre-construction arrangements and will report on the progress against the programme of works.
You will maintain and update the Construction Phase Health & Safety plan through the contract duration and will be responsible for the management of relevant method statements / risk assessments / training records and work permits.
In addition, you will also be required to supervise and co-ordinate staff, sub-contractors, material suppliers, utility providers, and plant suppliers, in order to ensure an efficient and effective use of resource on site.
In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have broad experience in the General Contracting sphere, inclusive of Retail, Blue Light, Industrial, Care, Specialist Homes, Educational and High End Residential.
With experience of coaching and mentoring a team, you will be well organised and dedicated and will have experience of dealing with management. It is also important that you are comfortable using IT systems, email, Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
Although not essential, sound knowledge of a number of different work trades would be beneficial along with familiarity with liaising with external project stakeholders such as the Client, Professional Services, Tenants, and the general public.
