Our client is recruiting on behalf of on outstanding educational institution that was founded nearly 400 years ago. With an exceptional array of facilities, the institution boasts excellent exam results year-on-year in both secondary and further education. They are now seeking a Summer School Nurse to join them on a live-in basis for an eight week contract during the summer holidays throughout July and August. 

As the Summer School Nurse, you will be tasked with supporting the welfare of the students attending the summer school. 

You will provide a caring nursing service to children and young people who are unwell or have had an accident and cannot attend classes. 

Working around five hours per day and up to 37.5 hours per week, you will be friendly and approachable in order to assist learners and carry out pastoral duties. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a range of international students aged from six to eighteen. 

Interested? If so, you will need to be an experienced school or paediatric nurse, a registered general nurse (RGN) or hold another suitable nursing qualification that enables you to carry out nursing activities and services for students at a school. 

Caring and empathetic, as the Summer School Nurse, you will need strong listening skills and the ability to elicit information from younger people. A friendly approach will be key, as will plenty of flexibility. 

Experience of working with children is preferred, as is knowledge of safeguarding issues.
