JOB TITLE: Legal Document Management Administrator / Experienced Legal PA

SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP20,000 - GBP23,000

WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday

The Administrative Support team play a vital role in the delivery of their objectives by providing excellent, timely and reliable support across the business and now an exciting new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Document Management Administrator / Experienced Legal PA to join this existing and very successful team based in at their Preston office.



THE ROLE: This role is in two parts. The first is to work as a P.A. to the Head of the Corporate and Commercial Division. This element involves a limited time commitment. The second part requires a document manager experienced in dealing with large scale file and document management relating to high value and complex cases.



The core purpose of the role is to implement and administer document management systems and related procedures that allow the litigation department to capture, store, retrieve, share, print and destroy both hard copy and electronic records and documents.


Key Responsibilities for the Legal Document Management Administrator / Experienced Legal PA's role in Preston, Lancashire include:




- Provide secretarial support to the Head of Division and provide accurate, timely and efficient support to the rest of the team


- Ensure that documents produced in the team are accurate, complete and compliant with internal and external guidelines and legislation


- Assist in the development of document management policies to facilitate efficient and secure access to electronic content.


- Bundle creation- preparing bundles and indices in a compliant fashion and within strict deadlines


- Assist with the continual review of document management practices and process as well as operating within the agreed practices and processes of the firm to ensure consistency of approach


- Assisting fee earners with document requests, typing and file creation, prepare records to be sent off-site for storage and assist with the development and assist with the maintenance of organised filing systems





THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Legal Document Management Administrator / Experienced Legal PA's role must have previous working experience within the legal sector, preferably in a Corporate and Commercial division. Our client are looking for someone with excellent knowledge and previous experience of large scale file and document management within a commercial and litigation environment and someone who has excellent organisational skills and the ability to process and organise a high volume of electronic and hard form documents efficiently.





You must also have a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail, have excellent communication skills and also have excellent IT skills with experience using Microsoft Excel. This is an ideal opportunity for an Experienced Legal PA / Secretary looking to make the next step and work closely with large scale legal document management.


Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Legal Document Management Administrator / Experienced Legal PA's role in Preston, Lancashire :-




- Previous working experience within the legal sector is essential, preferably in a Corporate and Commercial division


- You must have experience in large scale file and document management, ideally within a commercial and litigation environment


- Must have good typing skills, be able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines


- Must have good IT skills and experience using Microsoft Excel
