Our client manufactures an exciting range of systems for the construction, automotive, acoustic and audio markets, exporting to numerous countries around the world. They are a leading manufacturer of engineered facade and roofing systems to the architectural sector, complemented by a comprehensive range of fasteners, load bearing components and accessories. More recently, they have expanded with the purchase of the leading manufacturer of acoustic movable walls in the UK. Due to this expansion, they have a newly created role for a Project Designer within this exciting addition to the wider group.
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Designer to join this busy team in Loughborough. You will be responsible for the project specific design of acoustic movable walls to meet architects, specifics and contractors requirements, owning design of projects from beginning to end and working closely with the sales, production and contracting teams.
Key responsibilities for Project Designer in Loughborough:
To be successful within this role you must have a sound background within the Construction industry and a minimum of 3 years working experience of 2D or 3D detailing CAD software in addition to a working knowledge of Revit design software.

Key responsibilities for Project Designer in Loughborough:
- Produce effective detailed designs by using understanding of systems, manufacturers information and design principles
- Develop details from architectural proposals from their knowledge of building techniques
- Work under the supervision of National Contracts Manager
- Assist with the development of 3 Dimensional Building Information Models (BIM) and collaborate on digital models.
- Wherever practical introduce value added design solutions.
- Advocate knowledge sharing within the design teams and assist colleagues to develop team capabilities of different software applications or new design techniques.
