Bridgend County Borough Council is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Marketing Assistant to join its Communications, Marketing and Engagement team.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Officer, you will play an active role in supporting the team to help promote a wide variety of council services to a broad range of key audiences.

You will already have experience of helping to produce marketing collateral and assisting with the delivery and evaluation of key marketing campaigns.

You will be experienced in drafting media releases, developing creative and engaging content for the council’s website and corporate social media accounts and maintaining web pages and databases.

Experience of helping to organise and support various events would be an advantage.

You will have some experience of dealing with a broad range of people both internally and external to the organisation including senior officers, Cabinet members and a range of suppliers to the authority.

You will be highly organised, have effective IT skills and be able to work well under pressure. Excellent verbal and written skills and a can-do attitude are essential, as is the ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
