Product Manager - Life Sciences

Biorbyt Ltd is a Biotech company based in Cambridge, UK that is involved in the production, distribution, and marketing of Life Science reagents for the research institutions. Our main customers are major research organisations around the Globe. Our product range has expanded to over 100,000 products that are sold through our online portal. We have offices in Cambridge, San Francisco and China. Biorbyt is fast moving, dynamic entrepreneurial and international Company.
Job Purpose:
The position would suit a junior ambitious individual that we would train or a more senior person with relevant experience. The role will cover Product Management and Marketing. It will support the CEO and senior management team on all aspect of these two areas and drive the short to long term strategy forwards.
Key Responsibilities:
Main accountabilities:
Strategic:General understanding and awareness of Biorbyt Group and its strategic aims and furthering those in the respective areas of Product Management and Marketing
Operational:
Product management:
• Support for technical questions and complaints via email or phone with the assistance of our in-house research team (2 FTEs)
• Online product data management with the assistance of our data entry team (2 FTEs)
• Immunogen design
• Review of QC data for in house products
• Manage in house data and stock
• Liaise with suppliers and our own lab
• Expand and consolidate Biorbyt’s product range
• Create tools to facilitate navigating Biorbyt’s products online
Marketing:
• Manage online portals with the assistance of our data entry team (2 FTEs)
• Set up an email Marketing strategy
• Review and enhance offline Marketing materials and packaging
• Liaise with our global distributors
• Possible conference attendance based on strategic focus and time
• Create tools to facilitate navigation on Biorbyt website
• Develop upselling ideas
• Explore and suggest novel offline and online Marketing ideas

Person-Profile Requirements:
Desirable Skills:
• Technical expertise in WB and IHC
• Experience with protein expression and purification
• Highly effective and efficient at multi-tasking and prioritization
• Pro-active and problem solving
• Experience with online Marketing (campaigns, websites, ecommerce)
• Excel (basic skills plus V-look ups and Pivot Tables)
• Experience in working across cultural teams and customers
Work Experience & knowledge:
• 1-3 years’ hands on wet lab experience
• 1-3 years’ work experience in a related role
Education level:
• Degree level at least
Prof. Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Biology/Biochemistry or related lab experience
Salary: £22k to £35k + Bonus/ Pension/ Benefits
