Contract Manager - Hands on
Projects: Modular, Timber Buildings
Location: Nr Winchester
Salary up £50,000 + Car + 25 days Holiday.
A family run building contractor who has established an enviable track record in building Modular Timber Frame Building is searching for a hands on Contracts Manager. With over 25 years of experience they manufacture and install an extensive range of high quality, attractive modular timber buildings for both the domestic and commercial market.
Principal Role Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager, the Contracts Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations on designated sites for both Commercial and Domestic ranges, completing projects within agreed build quality standards and cost schedules.
This includes day to day responsibility for site employees, sub-contractors, ensuring that everyone is working to the correct revision number of the Site Information Pack, and also for the health & safety, cleanliness and tidiness of those designated sites.
Essential
A "hands on" practical manager within the construction industry.
Team management experience; demonstrable good interpersonal and management skills.
Experience of working with Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) and timber frame construction.
Able to travel around the country (based in head office one day per week)
Driving Licence.
Project management experience - multi-tasking, well organised.
Confident use of Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrable customer service ethos and skills.
Excellent health & safety knowledge.
Desirable
Carpentry background
Available to start within 6 weeks.
5 years + experience as a Contracts Manager in a similar construction environment.
5 years + team management experience gained across multi-functional / skilled teams.
5 years + project management skills and experience.
5 years + experience of working in a quality, customer service focused environment.
Fork Lift certificate.
First Aid certificate.
Health & Safety certificate (appropriate Construction Skills Certificate Scheme).
