JOB TITLE: Care Supervisor (Registered Nurse) Residential

WORKING HOURS: Full-time - 37.5 hours -Various shift patterns with 3 days being spent office
based (office hours) and the remainder of the time spend nursing
THE COMPANY: Our client is a small 25 bed care home with nursing providing care in Sowerby
Bridge, near Halifax, West Yorkshire, giving care and support to clients aged 18-65 with severe
complex needs.
THE ROLE: Care Supervisor (Registered Nurse) Residential Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire
This rewarding position will involve clinically leading staff including the nursing and care teams,
maintaining professional standards of care and nursing to all residents and to support the Service
Manager in the day to day operation of the service. This is a demanding role so you will need to be
able to remain calm when under pressure and dealing with sensitive and difficult situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Care Supervisor (Registered Nurse) Residential Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire
To supervise and work with nursing and care staff.
Assess the needs of service users.
Organise and manage shifts ensuring the appropriate nursing care is delivered.
Undertake formal supervision of the nurse in accordance with the companies' policy.
Participate in the management "on-call" procedure.
Manage paperwork and records during the hours based in the office.
Supporting the Service Manager and deputising in their absence.
Liaise with relatives and other care professionals.
THE CANDIDATE: Care Supervisor (Registered Nurse) Residential Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire
To be successful in this role you will need to be a Registered Nurse level 1 with experience of
managing staff from a clinical care background. You will have good verbal and written
communications skills to be able to liaise with care professionals, other agencies and residents and
their relatives.
Key skills and experience:- Care Supervisor (Registered Nurse) Residential- Sowerby Bridge, West
Yorkshire
Experience in a senior/ supervisory or similar level role managing other staff.(essential)
A full UK driving license would be advantageous but not essential.
Experienced in working with service users who have physical and/or learning disabilities
(desirable)
Able to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
Able to remain calm in difficult situations.
Knowledge of service user self-advocacy and empowerment is desirable.
Experience of managing a budget is desirable.
Qualifications:- Care Supervisor (Registered Nurse) Residential Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire
Registered Nurse qualification.
NVQ or other relevant management qualification or working towards.
Able to demonstrate post qualification training.
