This Mac, Database and Web Solutions company has an exciting opportunity for an additional Support Technician, based in Lewes, East Sussex. The role is to ensure that the IT systems and infrastructure in use by their clients and their in house team are designed, installed, maintained and constantly improved to a professional standard.
After an initial period of training you will be required to work under your own initiative. You will also collaborate with their team of in-house developers on larger projects when required.

Day to day responsibilities include:
- Answering calls from clients
- Logging and responding to requests in a ticketing system
- Remotely resolving client IT issues
- Visiting clients for on-site work
- Assisting with internal IT projects
Required skills and attributes:
- Driving license
- Genuine problem solving skills
- Good telephone manner
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in layman's terms
Technical experience with:
- Apple computers
- Computer networking
- Local and cloud servers
- Web hosting
Ideal candidate technical experience:
- Apple OS X 10.6 to macOS 10.12
- Apple's suite of applications
- Android and iOS mobile devices and applications
- All versions of Apple macOS Server
- Google G Suite (formerly Google Apps)
- Use of Unix-like command line
- Ubuntu Server administration
- Ability to configure and maintain networking hardware
- POP, IMAP and SMTP
- CalDAV & CardDAV
- DHCP & DNS
- L2TP/IPSec
- VLANs
- 802.1X Authentication
- SNMP Monitoring
- TCP, UDP
- Firewalls and NAT
- Failover and load balancing
- Traffic shaping and limiting
- SSL certificate issuance and renewal
- pfSense Routers
