12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Our client is a local company with a portfolio of approximately 5000 affordable homes in Macclesfield and the surrounding areas. They are passionate about what they do in providing high quality homes, and investing in their communities to improve people’s lives.

They are now looking to appoint an individual who will join them on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract and carry out first line support actions relating to the Trusts CORE ICT software.

Working alongside the other members of the Trusts ICT team, you will develop the Trusts use of CORE database applications, Microsoft applications and other software in use whilst developing and delivering technology related initiatives for the benefit of the customers.

Logging calls on an internally run helpdesk, you will aim to resolve as many as possible internally or liaise with party suppliers to solve those that cannot be. Setting and maintaining the user’s expectations on the work involved and corresponding timescales for the job, you will review the helpdesk on a daily basis, escalating any outstanding calls to second line support or chasing third party helpdesks for solutions. Ensuring the highest level of standards and best value for the Company are achieved at all times, you will also administer the database applications that are in use within the Trust including housekeeping within these databases and development where necessary.

Candidates for this role must hold an NVQ in IT or similar IT qualification and have experience and understanding of software installation, set-up and configuration. With strong communication and relationship management skills, giving you the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and customers, you will be able to establish personal credibility quickly and relate ICT concepts in business terms to non ICT audiences.

They also ask that you have the ability to troubleshoot IT software problems and take the necessary steps to resolve. Experience of administration of an SQL server environment including system maintenance would be highly desirable however this is by no means essential.
