Accounting Technician (3 Posts)

Salary: £18,560 - £24,717 p.a

2 posts Full time - Permanent.

1 Post Full time - Temporary 12 months maternity cover.

You will be working in the Finance Division at County Hall, West Bridgford, Nottingham, one post is based in the Adult Social Care, Health and Public Protection Finance team, one (maternity cover) is based in the Children, Families and Cultural Services Finance team, and the other in the Schools Finance team.

As part of the team, you will be providing high quality financial advice, information, analysis and interpretation to finance colleagues, budget holders and business support to underpin effective decision making, meaningful performance management and to meet statutory requirements. This service is delivered to staff at County Hall and remote bases around the County. If you work in the Schools Finance team you will be providing high quality financial advice/support, information, analysis and interpretation to Head teachers, Budget Managers and Governors, largely on a sold service basis which will require you to carry out on-site visits, primarily to schools.

Consequently the possession of full driving licence is an essential requirement for the role in this team.

You will be part AAT qualified or equivalent with experience of working in a financial environment with a range of financial systems and processes. You must be able to manage your own performance to meet objectives and provide an excellent customer focused service. The ability to work on your own initiative, pay attention to detail and understand and interpret information is essential, as are good communication and interpersonal skills.
