Role: Site Manager
Location: Swindon
Salary: GBP40,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Basic hours are 39? per week however you will be required to work the hours required to fulfil the requirements of the role. You will be required to work alternating early and late shifts on a weekly basis.

This large automotive manufacturer is seeking a Site Manager to join their bustling team in Swindon.
Main Duties:

- Site Management - through planning, training, coaching, managing & appropriate adjustment of staffing levels, in agreement with team leaders, ensure tactical delivery against the business production schedule.
- Responsible for site compliance with all current work instructions, standard operating procedures, Company policies and procedures, to ensure maintenance of Company standards are delivered in a consistent manner.
- To report on a weekly basis all damaged assets e.g. non-conforming parts/ packaging/MHE equipment and reporting to operation managers in form of agreed KPI's.
- Performance Manage all team leaders in line with established Company policy, creating personal development plans, ensuring training needs are identified and appropriate training and development is delivered and achieved. Creating positive succession planning for the benefit of the company.
- To undertake, as required, investigations in connection with employee relation activities. To understand and deliver suspension sanctions in line with company policy and with AS support.
- To be capable of conducting with AS support disciplinary hearings up to final written warning level.
- Deliver regular and clear communication to team leaders, ensuring clarity is provided of all business expectations.
- To undertake working area and wider across the sites to ensure that housekeeping activities are maintained through the application of 5S training and audits.
- Ensure all operations equipment is maintained in a fully operational manner to ensure timely delivery of business requirements e.g. MHE/Scanners/IT equipment etc.
- Record and maintain local KPI's to assist continuous improvement in business activities.
- Meeting Department objectives and targets within a TQM framework and have an excellent understanding of Q,C, D,M S methodology.

Key Skills

- Educated to O level/A level or similar, eg. BTEC in Business.
- Must have proven team management/leadership experience.
- Knowledge of UK legislation, both Health & Safety & Employment practices.
- Must be computer literate and be able to work with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Must have the ability to analyse and solve problems, be able to multi task, re-schedule activities and implement actions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, to be able to build solid relationship across various departments.
- Must demonstrate positive attitude, a proactive approach & professional image at all times.
