The JCB Academy was established in September 2010, the first of a brand new kind of school in the UK, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering and business education.

Since opening we have been consistently successful - our first Ofsted inspection, in May 2014, recognised us as a "Good" school with "outstanding" features, including progress in mathematics, engineering and vocational courses and the dedication to keeping students safe and secure. Pupil numbers are growing - we have been oversubscribed every year, including for entry this September. Currently we cater for c. 580 students aged 14-18 as well as c. 300 students aged 16+ following apprenticeships. We have exciting plans to expand further due to the demand for places.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational part-time French teacher to help develop and deliver our unique, project-based curriculum across KS4 and deliver French to GCSE level.

Students at The JCB Academy choose to study a language in either French, German or Spanish.

The chosen individual will work all day on Wednesdays and on Friday mornings

If successful, you will:
- Benefit from working with small class sizes, outstanding facilities and cutting-edge ICT.
- Have access to superb professional development and a competitive salary.
- Work in a supportive environment with professionals who are down-to-earth and committed to the aims of the academy.

If you are a qualified French teacher able to demonstrate high quality teaching, we would be keen to hear from you. You will be educated to degree level in French. We welcome applications from teachers at the start of their career as well from as more experienced practitioners. Thus is a great opportunity to work in a unique environment with fantastic facilities. You must have a passion for developing engineers of the future.
