Our client is a well-known reputable contractor in the region and is currently looking to employ a planner/project planner on a freelance basis to join a forward-thinking, ambitious and successful team on site. They are a main contractor and have an annual turnover of over ??650 million.
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled and experienced Planner / Project Planner proficient in the use of Asta Powerproject`s to work for our prestigious client, one of the UKs largest construction companies, on projects at a secure build site in Bristol.
The existing team have a proven track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of projects including industrial, and commercial new build to the highest quality.
The chosen planner/project planner would be responsible for:
??? Developing programs, monitoring and updating progress, progress reporting, plus reviewing programs in existence
??? Demonstrable experience of identifying and assessing delay
??? Demonstrable ability of creating and implementing programs which incorporate the planning requirements of the contract
??? Identify major quantities and factors affecting the programme
??? Ensure that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning procedures and guidance
??? Identify planning scope, major constraints and contract requirements
??? Establish and agree with operations and bid team key methods of construction, sequencing, installation and commissioning
Requirements for planner/project planner:
??? Have operational experience (i.e. site engineer/site agent) together with previous significant experience of planning services in small to medium sized projects within the construction and engineering industry
??? The successful candidate will be working closely with the commercial and production teams to ensure the programme is delivered on time and on budget. They must have a pro-active approach and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams.
??? Seeking a driven and highly motivated individual, ideally with top 10 contractor experience. Ideally you will be located locally.
??? Experience working with Asta Powerproject software is ideal although not essential.
??? Understand various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications.
??? Have worked on large build projects between ??50-??100mil.
??? Main Contractor background.
