WatchNation is one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers, opening a brand new watch and designer accessories store in Hoole, Chester. The store will compliment our established online retail business. Our aim is to offer our customers a true Omni channel opportunity to purchase one of our products, whether it be in store, through our website or our social media channels.
The customer, their needs and wants is at the heart of our business model and we place a huge amount of emphasis on delivering a unique and rewarding customer experience. Our target customer is one that is digitally and socially fashion aware. We will be stocking an exciting range of established and niche watch brands, offering customers the choice to purchase unique and limited edition models otherwise not readily available on the high street. Complimentary to our core range of watches will be a range of designer handbags, sunglasses and other exclusive items of jewellery. Our products will be available at extremely competitive prices, ensuring our customers can buy leading designer brands at the best possible prices.

The Role:
As Social Media exec you will assist in the delivery, and on-going adjustment of the social media strategy as part of a wider marketing communications strategy. You will be responsible for maintaining timely, high quality communications with consumers via branded social media platforms, exploring new social media channels and their marketing potential, keeping bang up-to-date with the latest trends and areas for competitive advantage, managing paid promotion, monitoring brand sentiment online, pro-actively communicating with potential customers in social spaces and reporting findings to marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Engaging with consumers via social media platforms:
- Co-ordinate and post all communications on our social media platforms.
- Demonstrate first class community management skills and facilitate interaction and conversation wherever possible
- Maintain and improve engagement and reach levels with our customer base and demonstrate excellent customer experience skills and knowledge within our social profiles
Monitoring within the social media space:
- Develop an understanding of consumer opinion online, develop pro-active customer service and share information across relevant areas of WatchNation
- Work with the General Manager and pro-actively communicate with consumers.
- Stay up to date with internet culture; analysing the latest trends, behaviours and language for marketing opportunity.
Performance & buzz reporting:
- Compile regular performance & competitor reports
- Analyse performance trends and feedback insight into strategy creation process
- Perform Social data analysis and insight gathering
- Develop an understanding of consumer opinion online and share information across the business
- Create and maintain a weekly sentiment summary of the online buzz related to WatchNation.
Management and delivery of social campaigns / projects:
- Generate unique ideas and initiatives that generate user engagement across all social platforms, keeping our social content fresh to maintain high engagement rates
- Thorough research, covering: environment/ competitor / user behaviour / trends / customer demographic/ strategy in order to grow the branded profiles and increase engagement rates through innovation, creativity and customer service
- Deliver in-depth reporting on projects focused on the development and amplification of WatchNation social media platforms. Provide post campaign analysis with clear recommendations for improvements
- Managing paid social media campaigns
New channel and content analysis:
- The research, analysis, scope, strategy and delivery of new branded social media channels on emerging and existing platforms
- Create new streams of content to fully maximise the opportunity and functionality on various social platforms
Integrated Planning:
- Work closely with the wider marketing team - ensuring a strong through-the-line plan that reaches all of our customer segments at all stages of the planning cycle, maximising the benefits from an integrated marketing campaign
- Stay up-to-date with marketing and digital industry developments and work with marketing to develop new ideas and make them a reality within marketing campaigns
- Be a source of social knowledge and expertise for the business
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrable experience working directly in social media
- Strong knowledge for all things social media
- A passion for social media and digital
- Superb written communication skills
- Expertise with social tools; hootsuite, Brandwatch, social bakers (or equivalents)
- Educated to A level with a marketing or business qualification desirable
- Experience managing paid social campaigns
- In-depth knowledge and desire to build massive audiences within Facebook, Instagram, Youtube
Hours of work: 40 hours per week. 9am to 6pm
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Holidays: 4 weeks annual leave, plus bank holidays
Salary: Based upon experience
