A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an international civil engineering organisation, that due to expansion is looking for a skilled freelance section engineer to be working at Hinkley, that has extensive infrastructure experience and you are very competent in specifications, interpreting drawings, able to communicate the detail effectively to the team, as well as drive the work forward. To be successful in the position of section engineer for this forward thinking organisation, it is required that you have skills and experience in the following areas:
Ideally degree qualified in civil engineering
Used to managing sizeable sections of civil engineering projects-highways/structures/infrastructure etc
Excellent people management skills
Able to keep your section on time and to budget
Computer literate
Directing, collaborating and supervising Contract Surveyors and Engineers contracted on part time by Sub Contractors and by the Main Contractor during peak periods.
Responsible for monitoring changes and revisions to the drawings and passing same to Sub-Contractors and ensuring smooth passage and exchange of information between all parties.
